Cashless Payments at St Michael’s Community College
St Michael’s Community College operates a cashless payment system wherever possible through our secure online payment platform, Way2Pay. Moving to a cashless system helps to:
- improve convenience for families
- reduce the need for students to carry cash to school
- provide clear electronic receipts and payment records
- support transparency and accountability in the handling of school funds
- ensure secure and efficient processing of payments
All school-related payments, including trips, activities and other school charges, are issued through the school’s approved payment and communication systems. Parents and guardians will receive payment requests through official school communication channels, including school text message, the the Way2Pay platform or the school's administration email, stmichaelscckilmihil@lcetb.ie
Parents and guardians are asked not to send cash into school with students unless specifically requested by the school office.Using the school’s approved payment systems helps to ensure accurate receipting, transparency and the secure management of school funds.
Information on Way2Pay Payments
Way2Pay is a secure online payment system designed to make school payments simpler, safer and more convenient for families. Way2Pay allows parents and guardians to:
- make payments online or through the mobile app
- receive text notifications relating to school payments
- view payment history and receipts
- pay in full or in instalments where applicable
All payments made through Way2Pay are receipted electronically.
Paying Online
Parents and guardians can access their family dashboard online through: Way2Pay Your username is the mobile number provided to the school as your preferred contact number:
- include 353 before the number
- omit the first 0
You will be asked to create your own password when logging in for the first time.To make a payment, click the Plus (+) icon beside the relevant item.
Paying by Text Message
The school may issue payment requests by text message through the Way2Pay system. Parents and guardians can simply click on the payment link contained within the text message and follow the instructions provided. Please note:
- the amount shown in the initial text message may relate to one student only
- once logged in, all outstanding fees for students within the family account will be visible
Paying Through the Way2Pay App
The Way2Pay App can also be downloaded to your phone, allowing payments to be made quickly and securely at any time. A security question may be required when making payments through the app.
