Information for children and young people about inspection
The Inspectorate is deeply committed to listening to the voice of children and young people. It wants to facilitate children and young people to express their views during inspection and to have their views given due weight as part of an empowering process benefitting them, schools/settings and the Inspectorate.
The supports on this linked below are intended to help children and young people be better informed about inspection so that they may interact more confidently with the inspectors who visit their school/setting. The goal for the Inspectorate is to enhance opportunities for young people’s participation at all three stages of inspection: before, during and after. There is also a guide for parents.
