The school uniform is an important part of life at St Michael’s Community College. It is well supported by parents and contributes positively to the daily experience of students.
Wearing the uniform helps to:

Our uniform has been carefully selected to be practical, affordable and durable, providing a reliable and appropriate standard of dress for school. We greatly appreciate the support of parents and guardians in ensuring that students wear the full school uniform each day. Boys

Girls

Footwear
Students are required to wear sensible black shoes as part of the school uniform. For safety and practicality:
- Platform shoes, boots, ballet pumps and canvas shoes are not permitted
- Shoes should be comfortable, supportive and suitable for a full school day
While black leather shoes are recommended, there is no requirement for a specific style or brand. A range of suitable options is available locally and online.
PE and School Activities
For PE class and designated school outings, students may wear:
- School PE t-shirt (or a plain t-shirt)
- Navy tracksuit bottoms or plain leggings (no markings)
- School jacket
PE gear is worn for PE classes only. Students are expected to be in full school uniform for all other classes.
Additional Information
- Extra layers for warmth should be worn under the uniform and should not alter the overall appearance
- All items of clothing should be clearly labelled with the student’s name
- Exceptions apply, following consultation with parents/guardians, for students with documented sensory needs
